BOOKS

Book One
Kendall Family Saga
Legacy Matters
Matthew Kendall was born the day his older brother died — and raised to take his place.
Heir to a powerful dynasty, he has spent his life being exactly who his family needed: dutiful, controlled, certain that belonging means surrendering any life of his own. So he marries the woman they chose, and lets go of Abbey Matsil, the one he's loved for years.
But Abbey won't keep waiting for a man who can't choose. And when an unexpected inheritance closes the family's future around him like a cage, Matthew must finally decide between the legacy he was raised to carry and the life he actually wants — before his unraveling marriage forces the choice for him.
To become his own person, he'll have to break a cycle of sacrifice generations in the making.
An emotionally layered story of identity, obligation, and the courage to choose your own life — the first in a sweeping series about the Kendall family and the inheritances, both fortune and wound, that bind them.
Book Two
Kendall Family Saga
What Matters
Cass Kendall has spent her whole life being perfect.
The composed, capable daughter who never breaks and never needs, she has built a flawless, carefully controlled life with no room for surprises. Then Nick Ricci walks back into it — now an FBI agent and the unexpected guardian of a young girl who has nowhere else to go.
Nick brings a world Cass never intended to enter: unpredictable, demanding, and real. But when circumstances force them under the same roof, the boundaries she's always relied on begin to blur, and through the child who comes to depend on them both, Cass glimpses a life she never let herself want. Nick feels it too — and it terrifies him. Convinced that loving her will only end in loss, he pulls away just as an unexpected pregnancy and a marriage neither of them chose bind their lives together.
As family expectations tighten and old wounds threaten to repeat, Cass and Nick must each decide whether to protect themselves or risk being truly known. And when a medical crisis puts everything at stake, the choice between the lives they built and the love they're afraid to claim may come too late.
A moving story about perfectionism, fear, and the courage to choose a life that's real instead of perfect — another emotionally layered chapter in the Kendall Family Saga, where every inheritance comes with a wound, and every wound holds the possibility of healing.
ABOUT ALEXANDRA
Alexandra Sheridan writes emotionally layered women's fiction about love, resilience, and the courage to begin again. Her stories explore how people rebuild their lives after heartbreak, and how forgiveness—in all its forms—becomes an act of strength.
A lifelong storyteller, Alexandra began writing as a teenager and attended the Highlights Foundation Writers Workshop at Chautauqua, where she deepened her love for storytelling and the craft of fiction. After a thirty-year career in human resources—where she had a front-row seat to the quiet collisions between who people are expected to be and who they truly are—she returned to the characters who had lived for years in her imagination. The result is her debut novel, Legacy Matters, the first book in the Kendall Family Saga: a sweeping series about one family, the expectations handed down through generations, and the courage it takes each of them to break free.
When she isn't writing, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading. She lives in Western New York, where she finds inspiration in the quiet beauty of ordinary moments and the power of second chances.
